WEEK OF AUGUST 25TH

CONGRATS TO OUR ROCK STARS OF THE WEEK!

PERIOD 1: JOSH KATSENELSON

Josh is our first rock star of period 1 because he offered to help Ms. Broyles without her needing to ask him. He has been friendly and focused all week, and is setting a good example for the other students.

PERIOD 2: WESTON WALTERS

The first day of using computers in class is always hectic for both the teacher and the students. Weston spoke up to Ms. Broyles about being good with computers, and continued to help other students get set up on their computers before worrying about his own. Ms. Broyles really appreciated having an extra set of hands to help students on computers!

PERIOD 3: CHRIS BOWMAN

Chris has brought his infectious smile and affable nature to class each day this week. Ms. Broyles appreciates his sense of humor and that he can be trusted to work well with his peers.

PERIOD 4: SHELBY DONLEY

Shelby went above and beyond in our class effort to bring world pictures for the walls. She brought in multiple pictures so help illustrate the continent of Europe in a unique way. In addition, Shelby lead her group in brainstorming the American Dream during the 1930's/1940's and offered some deep insights on the topic during class discussions.

PERIOD 5: KIANA ENGLISH

Kiana is the rock star of 5th period this week because she took the time to personally introduce herself to Ms. Broyles on the first day of school and to nurture a positive student-teacher relationship. She helped Ms. Broyles acclimate to a new school and has been accountable in class.

PERIOD 6: DANNY MOORE

Throughout this week, Ms. Broyles has witnessed Danny's efforts to quiet down his classmates and to encourage them to respect the teacher. He is a natural leader among his peers and does not require any teacher reminders to stay focused and complete his work.
